Meet Bob and Barbara Ihrig

First Assembly is blessed to have many wonderful couples.   Fortunately, this special couple are personal friends of Women's Ministries  and didn't say "no" when we asked to include them in these pages . . . just like they rarely say "no" when asked to help out in so many areas of our church!.

Bob and Barbara have gone to help start the Cape Coral satellite, First Assembly of God West.  Of course, they are still part of the First Assembly Central, but are just worshiping in a different location.  Bob has served on the Church Council, is still involved in the the Men's Ministry, served as coordinator of the Visitor Follow-Up Ministry and has gone with his wife on the Women's Ministry on mission trips to Helene, Honduras and Romania where  his spiritual gift of evangelism enabled the Lord to use him to lead many to the Lord.

Barbara still serves as Secretary of the "His Women" Board at First Assembly, she taught "Living From the Life of Christ" Bible Study in the evening for working women for seven years (until she left for "West") and coordinates Pastor Connie's Living From the Life of Christ class now.  She is involved with the Women's Prayer Intercessors, serves as an altar worker, does follow-up at FAOG West, and does discipleship mentoring as time allows.  Barbara is a dynamite writer and we have placed a devotion she gave at a women's meeting on this web site so it could be shared with others.

Their son, Dr. Bradley Ihrig, is a career missionary in Mongolia along with his wife Annet, who is from the Netherlands.  They have two three-year-old Mongolian foster children whom they hope to adopt.  Brad is the World Vision Health Project Manager for the country of Mongolia.

GOD IS MOVING IN MONGOLIA!

The church is a praying church and a worshiping church.  It is being led by visionaries who foresee that they will reach ALL of the former Mongolian Empire!  There were NO Christians in 1991 - now there are between 15,000 and 20,000!

If you would like to assist in the work in Mongolia,  Bob and Barbara can direct you.

Wedding Day for Brad and Annet in Mongolia.  They chose to celebrate this event among the people they are called to serve.  Bob   and Barbara were only there through their prayers!
